Sytske Dijksen-Overbeeke (born in 1953) works at the Natural History Museum ‘EcoMare’ on the Wadden Sea island of Texel. She is a drawer and a semi-professional photographer. Her specialities are photos of plants and small animals as well as details. However, also pictures of people, cities, scenery and various types of land use are part of her stock. Her visits include several trips to different places in Siberia and Central Asia, Ethiopia and other African countries, Australia and Costa Rica.
Together with her husband and a colleague she runs a small photo stock bureau: ‘Foto Fitis’. |
