| Irene Bouwma studied forestry at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. During her study, she bought her first camera to take pictures of the South Limburg landscape, aiming to include these in her thesis. Currently, she works at Alterra in Wageningen, the Netherlands, where her work focusses on the issue of ecological networks and landscape ecology in general. Her work takes her to various countries in Europe, where she takes the opportunity to photograph plants and landscapes. Besides photographing, one of her favourite hobbies is exploring the local cuisine whilst travelling abroad. |
