| Gert van Engen is a retired school teacher in mathematics and business economy at a secondary school at Lunteren nearby the Veluwe, a well-known nature area in the centre of the Netherlands. He is particularly interested in landscapes and in the influences of human occupation, economic behaviour, and political decisions on the development of landscapes. He has travelled extensively in Europe, where he visited, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Norway, Poland, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. |
