| Ben Delbaere (1968) studied biology at the University of Limburg, graduated in vegetation ecology at the University of Antwerp and did a postgraduate on environmental impact assessment at the Free University of Brussels, all in Belgium. Born in Germany from Belgian parents, Ben now works for the European Centre for Nature Conservation (ECNC) and lives in Udenhout, the Netherlands. His personal interests regarding nature are seed plants, birds and butterflies. Although the Saxifraga collection contains slides from Ben, he is not really into photography, more into drawing and ecological gardening. Ben also maintains the Saxifraga slide list on the ECNC web site. |
